I am planning on making a college magazine for my initial piece. These are my initial plans for my magazine cover and the contents. I tried to make the design modern and quirky to catch the students eye and make them want to pick it up and read. I have decided to make the magazine free as i think the students would like that more and putting interesting things into the magazine that i think students would want to read about. I thought i would use a casual medium shot for the cover photo as that wouldn't be that typical and also could relate to the students.

The contents page i have tried to keep the brickwork feel to it and made it more up to date and quirky as that will draw people to my magazine. I have gone for the graffiti font and that stands out and is bold on the bricks.

I am designing my magazine so it will fit all genders, race's, cultures and so it isn't offensive for anyone and everyone will be able to understand and can relate to the magazine.
